#7: Profanity & Violence in Music
Why do you think some artists choose to express their ideas through the use of profanity? Why do some artists celebrate the use of violence? What are your personal feelings about music that chooses to express its ideas with the use of profanity or through the celebration of violence?

I think is because they think that using profanity in their song that's the way that one day they're gonna be famous artists.
ReplyDeleteI think they use profanity because that's probably how they like to express themselves. I don't really mind for songs to have profanity in them because they sometimes still say the truth.
ReplyDeleteI think that sometimes profanity is what can best describe an intense feeling or situation. Some artist probably celebrate the use of violence because they grew up with it and thats all they know or are use to. I really don't mind, as long as the song/lyrics have meaning to it.
ReplyDeletemost of artist use profanity because they don't have a choice, they're just trying to satisfy their customer and obviously it's what the customer want because if it wasn't, obviously it would be evaporate a long time ago.
ReplyDeletesome people choose to express themselves in such manner is possibly because that's how they grew up. a lot of people come from different backgrounds and need to express themselves in their own way

ReplyDeleteI think some artists choose to express their ideas through the use of profanity because that's how they feel, and also because they might have a very strong feeling or situation they might want or dont know how to deal with it. I think some artists celebrate the use of violence because they were once part of it or also, it is a part of them as they were growing up. My personal feelings about music that chooses to express its ideas with the use of profanity or through the the celebration of violence is I realy don't mind as long as it has an overall meaning, I don't mind profanity to a certain limit.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone can relate how that artist is feeling through profanity.I believe if what they're going for is a real problem that anyone could be facing then go for it profanity is as persuasive as words.

Im not a big fan iof it but i guess thats how they express theirselves and thats how they are going to do it for the rest of their lives

ReplyDeleteArtist chooses to use profanity to make it sound more powerful. I accept there use because it can give a more powerful meaning than the original denotation of the word.
ReplyDeletei think people choose to use profanity because its is a way of them either getting their hurt or pain out of something that they need to get off of their chest. everyone chooses to express themselves in different ways.
ReplyDeleteSome artists use profanity because they are most comfortable expressing their pain, ideas, or etc. in that type of way; they adjust to what is around them and their fans. my personal feelings towards this type of music is personal; because anyone could glance at this type of music and say that its horrible, but you have to get used to it
ReplyDeletei think cussing in a song is not appropriate but its the only way the rappers can rhyme using them. Perhaps in my views, profanity is a way to express feeling and using them can express themselves.
